Crescent Cookies-XMAS

First, measure all ingredients. Carefully stir salt into flour. Then, in a stand-up mixer, cream the softened butter, add vanilla, water, sugar, flour. Add pecans, dough should be Very Nutty. May let rest, tightly covered, for up to 30 minutes.
Push dough into 1 Round Measuring Tablespoon, rounding up to about half more dough. (or push dough into 1.5 inch cookie scoop, fill to top & flatten) On cutting board push down with palm and shape into chubby crescents. Bake at 325 degrees for 31-32 min, until light brown all over. Let cool in tray for 2 min, then remove cookies to rack to cool completely. May refrigerate or freeze.
To serve, roll in powder sugar... *powder sugar rolls on better if cookies are cold, if the sugar starts to melt, roll them again, then serve immediately. ENJOY!
