Turkey on GAS GRILL


Turkey on/in broiler pan or other, brushed w/ oil (pan that keeps turkey from sitting in drippings). Plan approx 13 min per lb, uncovered, cook to 155-160 degrees (approx 2 to 2.5 hours)...

PREHEAT GRILL: all 4 burners on HIGH, lid closed, for 10-15 min.

Turn off center burners; set outside burners to MEDIUM heat; place turkey on center of grill.

Close lid and LEAVE IT ALONE for 2 hours. Check temp, both sides, in thigh joint (between leg & thigh). If need more cook time, rotate turkey (cover w/ foil tent if getting too brown) and check temp every 15 min.

Remove from grill, cover tightly w/ oiled foil, let sit for 20-30 min.
